Ada County Jail Roster
The official Ada County Inmate Roster lists people housed in the Ada County Jail for criminal offenses as of the timestamp shown on the page. The roster is free and does not require a login. It is hosted on an Ada County application, not a commercial jail vendor. The roster excludes juvenile offenders and states that recent changes may not appear because the database updates every 24 hours.
The jail roster is only one access channel. If a booking is too new for the 24-hour roster cycle, the Ada County Current Arrests report may be more useful because it has Last 4 Hours, Last 24 Hours, and Last 5 Days filters. Ada County Current Arrests
Current Arrests is the better starting point when a person was arrested very recently. It gives time-window filters and displays arrest date and time. The main roster is a custody list, while Current Arrests is a recent booking report. A person can appear in Current Arrests before the roster update fully reflects the booking, and a person may also move out of the report as time passes.

The statute field in Current Arrests is a key difference from the main roster, which shows charge text and bail but not statute numbers on roster charge rows.

Ada County Inmate Profile Fields
A public Ada County inmate profile is a custody record, not a full criminal-history report. It can show a booking photo, jail identifier, age, arresting agency, charge rows, bail values, and VINE registration. It does not show full date of birth, home address, housing unit, pod, cell, medical or mental-health status, court date, or projected release date.

Ada County Bail and Holds
Roster bail information is useful, but it should not be treated as legal advice or final release confirmation. ACSO states that a person may be released by paying bond connected to each criminal charge, or when a 4th Judicial District judge orders release. Bond is paid in person at the lobby counter of the main Ada County Sheriff's Office building at 7200 Barrister Drive. Accepted forms are cash, cashier's check, money order, or bail bond service. Personal checks and credit cards are not accepted for bond.
If there are multiple charges, separate bonds and separate $25 administrative fees may apply. When a judge combines multiple charges under one case number, ACSO says one $25 administrative fee covers those bonds. Roster values such as Not Bailable, Hold, Return to Custody, Serving Time, Health and Welfare hold, IDOC hold, probation violation, or out-of-county warrant can prevent release even when another charge has a dollar amount.

Call 208-577-3000 for jail status confirmation because ACSO says status can only be confirmed by phone or in person. Go to the sheriff lobby for bond payment or in-person questions tied to jail custody. Use the Public Safety Information Center records process for booking records, Ada-only arrest history, incident records, or an older mugshot not visible online.

Ada County inmate records are often confused with state or federal records because Ada County contains multiple IDOC prisons and reentry centers. The county jail roster does not search Idaho Maximum Security Institution, Idaho State Correctional Center, Idaho State Correctional Institution, Mountain View Transformation Center, South Boise Women's Correctional Center, South Idaho Correctional Institution, Treasure Valley Community Reentry Center, or East Boise Community Reentry Center. Those facilities are IDOC lookup territory.

Ada County Visitation Records
After a person is located in the Ada County Jail, public visiting is handled online. Ada County Mail Phone Money
Inmates cannot receive phone calls while in the Ada County Jail. Most inmates may buy phone time for outgoing calls. Mail is scanned and sent electronically, so the mail address is a Phoenix, Maryland processing address rather than the Boise jail building. Each piece of mail must list the full sender name and address and the intended receiver. Improperly addressed mail is returned.

Commissary includes snacks, drinks, writing materials, shoes, and clothing when an inmate has enough funds. The jail requires a $15 personal account balance, and any balance above that can be used for commissary. iCare packages require the inmate to have at least $1 in the account. In-person kiosk deposits and online Telemate or GettingOut deposits are documented, but exact fees were not located in official ACSO text.
Ada County App Caveat
Research located app-store listings for "ADA County Sheriff's Office" with County of Ada shown as developer, but no direct Ada County Sheriff's Office webpage confirming or linking the app was found in the inspected county pages. Because that official county-site confirmation was not located, the app should not replace the roster, Current Arrests, phone confirmation, in-person confirmation, or public-records request channels.
